Classical Ballet Training Division Levels 1A-6

Turning Pointe’s Training Division is designed for the dancer interested in learning Classical Ballet in a pre-professional setting. Our carefully-constructed curriculum emphasizes technique, proper placement and alignment, strength, discipline, healthy body image, and encourages the dancer to reach his or her highest potential.  Whether a dancer plans to pursue post high school ballet training or not, our goal is to create a positive and healthy training experience for all students at all stages of study, while encouraging each student in their faith walk.

Classes run through the school year and start with an age-appropriate devotion. Parent Observation Weeks occur in Fall and Winter. Levels 1A and 1B perform for parents in-class at Christmas and also perform in the May End of Year Showcase. Level 1B and Level 2 students perform one dance in the beloved Christmas ballet, The Promise. Level 2 dancers also perform one song in the large-scale, ticketed Spring Ballet. All dancers in Levels 3-6 are invited to participate in the Performance Ensemble. Ensemble dancers perform in multiple performances of the large-scale, ticketed ballets in downtown Holland: The Promise and the Spring Ballet (which changes every two years). They also do Outreach performances..

All classes run for the 34 week school year
