He was thereafter promoted to a managing producer role with P&L responsibility, overseeing several theatre companies with a cast and crew of nearly 100 people each. Reporting through the Walt Disney Motion Picture Group, Chip also participated in Walt Disney corporate Synergy initiatives, contributing to the development of marketing strategies for motion pictures, TV shows, theme parks, CDs, consumer products and Disney’s Blast, one of the first subscription web sites and the number one site on the web for kids.

Both companies are based in Holland, Michigan. Kathi Jo DeYoung
Kathi Jo DeYoung is a Business Coach and owner of IgniteMe Business Coaching. She started her coaching business in 2005 after 30 years of experience in human resources, non-profit organizing, and administrative management in manufacturing.
As a board member for Turning Pointe she brings her communication skills, process and goal setting experience, and diverse business background to support Turning Pointe and in the stewardship of financial, personal, and spiritual resources.
Kathi Jo says, “God has given each of us time and talents to be used for His glory and as His representatives here on earth. In Matthew, we are charged ‘to love God above all and our neighbor as ourselves.’ As a board member it is my goal to support the planning and vision of Turning Pointe in both the personal and spiritual growth of the dancers and the message of salvation they can bring to the community through the gift of dance.”
Following many years of involvement as the parent of a Turning Pointe dancer, Kathy felt the calling to be on the board of Turning Pointe. Turning Pointe’s emphasis on high-caliber dance training in combination with heart-changing spiritual instruction has been transformative not only for her dancing daughter, but for her whole family as well. Through serving on the board Kathy hopes to help Turning Pointe continue its mission of using artistic excellence to reach the community for Christ.
Kathy has a Bachelor of Arts from Calvin College in Business and History. She currently works at Western Theological Seminary as an Educational Design and Technology Specialist, primarily supporting adjunct faculty and distance learning students. Prior employment includes positions in human resources, accounts receivable, and administrative support.

Favorite verse: “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2
Elise VanKampen, President
Elise is a senior accountant at Ferris, Busscher & Zwiers, P.C., located in Holland. Her primary areas of responsibilities include auditing non-profit organizations and governmental entities as well as tax return preparation for both non-profit and corporate clients. She graduated with a BBA in Accounting and also earned her Masters in the Science of Accounting from Grand Valley State University. She is currently a member of the MICPA, AICPA and the AICPA’s not-for-profit sector.
Elise is a lifelong resident of Holland, attending West Ottawa Public Schools and now raising her family on the northside of Holland. She and her husband, A.J., have been married for over eleven years. They have two young daughters, Hattie and CeCe (a current ballet student at Turning Pointe), as well as a baby boy, Charlie.
What brought Elise to Turning Pointe: “A co-worker of mine was asked by a former board president to serve on the board, as the board needed a member with financial and accounting knowledge. My co-worker was unable to make the commitment, so the opportunity was passed on to me. I met with the board, learned more about what all Turning Pointe does, and immediately began to support the mission of Turning Pointe. My husband and I had served in student Christian ministries for six years, and my heart desires to teach youth about the love of Christ. Now that I have children of my own, I look forward to my children being able to attend a positive, Christian dance school where they can grow their relationship with God along with learning proper dance technique.”
