we are message bearers.

At Turning Pointe School of Dance we focus on much more than outward technique and mastery of an art form. We look inward at the hearts and minds of our students. We care about their preparation spiritually and mentally. As students realize their ability to dance actually comes from a loving Creator, they often experience a “turning pointe” of a different kind. No longer is dance about them. Dance becomes a way to give back, a way to be a message bearer.

Recreational Division

These are once-a-week classes offered in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, and hip-hop. Each class begins with an age-appropriate devotion and focuses on developing fundamental skills, class etiquette, and self-discipline in a supportive and fun, Christian environment. The students perform a dance for the parents at the end of class in November to kick off the Christmas season and also perform at the End of Year Showcase.* Classes run through the school year.

Training Division

This program is designed for the dancer interested in training in a pre-professional setting. Our curriculum emphasizes technique, proper alignment, strength, discipline, and healthy body image. We create a positive and wholesome training experience for students ages 7 and older, while encouraging students in their faith walk. Classes run through the school year and start with an age-appropriate devotion. Performance and outreach opportunities are available for dancers enrolled in our training division. Please see our performances page for more information.

Outreach in our Community

Turning Pointe School of Dance partners with several agencies, churches and local businesses to share the gospel with our community. Several outreach opportunities are open to our dancers throughout the year, such as Worship Impact Night, church events, concerts, and more.
